The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is intended for:
- Those wishing to join the Catholic Church
- Baptized Catholics who have not received the sacraments of the Eucharist and Confirmation
- Those wanting to return to the practice of our faith after a time away
We, at Holy Cross, join with other Deanery parishes, thus getting to know our neighboring
parishes and having the advantage of a number of different presenters, including the
pastors of our participating parishes, members of the RCIA Team and other "specialists" in topic
areas needed. We meet for a series of 6-8 weeks at each of the parishes, on Thursday
evenings from 7:00pm-8:30pm starting in September through May with the exception of
Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
The special rites and sacraments take place in one's own parish, after preparation
in the larger group. There is a retreat day together in preparation for the reception
of the sacraments at the Easter Vigil.
