Children in Grades K-6 are encouraged to attend Holy Cross PSR which will be held at 10:00 am each Sunday from September 27, 2009
through May 16, 2010. The cost for materials is $25.00 per student. The
Student Information Sheet is requested for all children attending
Holy Cross PSR.
Programming for Grades K-1
Students are introduced to God’s love for them through Bible stories and hands-on activities. They are taught about God’s love
in the creation of the world, God’s promise to always be with them, and God’s love in sending Jesus to be their friend and guide.
The Sign of the Cross, the Hail Mary, and the Our Father are introduced and a genuine kindness toward others is encouraged.
Programming for Grades 2-3
Second and Third graders continue their studies about Jesus and his love for them through the diocesan approved series Christ Our Life.
They are immersed in a student-centered approach to the reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist. These students
learn about the life of Jesus, his salvific mission, and the perpetual institution called the Mass.
Programming for Grades 4-6
Through the Christ Our Life series, students look at how they live their lives with a Catholic focus in the diversity of today’s world.
In addition to the studies mentioned at the previous grade levels, topics explored include the Creed, the Sacraments, the traditions, and the
teachings of the Church. Questions, discussion, reflection and prayer are encouraged.
